Costume Guidelines

Costumes are welcomed at HOCM After Hours: Cauldrons & Cocktails! However, for the safety of our guests and exhibits we require that you follow the guidelines outlined below. Guests who do not adhere to these guidelines may be refused entry or asked to leave, unless the costume can be modified to meet them. We appreciate your adherence to these rules.

• Costumes may not contain any props or accessories that resemble or could easily be mistaken for an actual weapon
• Costumes may not contain any prop or accessory that resembles a gun.
• Costumes may not contain sharp objects, pointed objects or materials that may accidentally strike or impede another guest
• Costume masks of any kind may not be worn.
• Costume headwear may be worn if it does not cover the face.
• The museum may decline entry for costumes considered inappropriate or offensive.

Ticket Refund and Donation Policy:

Hands On After Hours event tickets are non-refundable. If you cannot attend your scheduled event, you may contact our front desk at (360) 956-0818 ext. 0 at least 24 hours before the start of the event to transfer your tickets to another person. Unclaimed tickets will be donated back to the museum. At this time, tickets cannot be transferred to a future event.

Important: Hands On Children's Museum (HOCM) does not use third-party ticket sellers and cannot guarantee tickets purchased from any person or organization except those purchased directly through HOCM or transferred to another person through HOCM. 

Event Cancellation Policy:

Hands On Museum After Hours events are held rain or shine. If your scheduled event needs to be cancelled for reasons outside our control, notification will be sent to the email you used when purchasing your tickets as soon as possible and will describe the current options for rescheduling, exchange, donation, or refund. Event status will also be posted to our website and social media.
